Jalie sewing pattern - Mimosa t-shirt top for jersey fabrics
This lovely and very versatile Jalie sewing pattern for stretch jersey fabrics is the Mimosa (3890). It makes a relaxed-fit scoop neck t-shirt with long or short sleeves, and has various other options including ruffles, sleeve ties, rolled sleeves and breast pocket. It comes in 28 sizes for women and girls from the age of 2 years.
Simple and quick to make, it's ideal for beginners or more experienced sewers who want a basic pattern to hack and adapt. It would work well with traditional jersey and with viscose jersey
Jalie offer extra information, instructions and tutorials on all their patterns, and you can find this information - including the amount of fabric you'll need - for the Jalie Mimosa top pattern on this link:
Jalie is a fabulous family-owned Canadian sewing-pattern company that specialise in patterns to use with stretch fabrics of all types. I've used their patterns myself and they are wonderful - some of the very best for stretch fabrics, and they're easy to hack or adapt.
Printed on good-quality heavy paper rather than tissue, they are made to last, and you can of course use lots of different sizes by tracing round them onto sewing tracing paper.
