Beautiful, cable-knit jacquard-style rib jersey fabric with a design on one side and smooth on the reverse, this fabric is a gorgeous plain black colour with a subtle woven design of tiny flowers and dots on the cable bits (!) by the iconic German brand, Swafing - such a fantastic fabric - I love it!  

This fabulous fabric has good stretch in the horizontal direction, across the body, and less stretch in the vertical direction. It is Oeko-Tex Standard certified, so it's free from harmful substances. Perfect for all kinds of clothing including dresses, sweaters, tops, t-shirts, PJs and much more for both children and adults. 

Swafing jersey fabrics are outstanding, European-made and the very best you can buy. I've used them myself many times and they wash and sew beautifully as well as being gorgeous to wear. 

Composition: 95% Cotton, 5% elastane 

Care: Machine wash at 30 degrees centigrade. Do not tumble dry. Cool iron. Can be dry cleaned.

As ever, it's always best to wash any fabric, regardless of composition or type, before sewing to account for any shrinkage.
