This is a bolt end piece of the gorgeous woven cotton plain black fabric by Swafing.

It measures 148cm long by 150cm wide. 

Gorgeous black 100% woven cotton dress and craft fabric by the iconic German brand, Swafing. A very high-quality cotton fabric that I've used myself in various colours for clothes and crafts and they are just fabulous! They wash and sew beautifully and are gorgeous to wear. My favourite plain cotton fabric!

Soft, smooth and refined, it carries the Oeko-Tex 100 Standard, so it's certified free from harmful substances.  It's not a poplin, it has more body and substance and it's a really good weight at 160g/m2, which is unusual for a 100% cotton, but not at all stiff. An absolutely wonderful fabric!

Perfect for a wide range of different clothing projects including shirts, dresses, skirts, loungewear, pinafores, dungarees, plus crafts and quilting too.

Composition: 100% cotton 

Care: Machine wash at max 60 degrees. Medium iron. Do not tumble dry. Can be dry cleaned.

As ever, it's always best to wash any fabric, regardless of composition or type, before sewing to account for any shrinkage, soften the fabric up and remove any 'finish' the textile mill has put on the fabric, which is common with higher-quality fabrics.
